Rebecca Caprara is a children's book author and illustrator. Her debut middle grade novel, THE MAGIC OF MELWICK ORCHARD, was selected as a 2019 "Must Read" by the Massachusetts Book Awards.
Her forthcoming novels include WORST-CASE COLLIN, a contemporary novel-in-verse to be published by Charlesbridge in Fall 2021, and MISSION: MULTIVERSE, the first in a new series publishing in Spring 2021 with Abrams/Amulet.
Rebecca graduated from Cornell University and practiced architecture for several years, before shifting her focus from bricks to books. An avid globetrotter, she has traveled to over 50 countries, and has lived in Italy, Singapore, and Canada. She is now growing roots in Massachusetts with her family.
She is the recipient of the 2017 Marguerite W. Davol Picture Book Manuscript Scholarship, as well as the Jane Yolen Scholarship from the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators.
